LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) is the name of an American professional player of basketball who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). James is popularly referred to as King James and is considered to be one of the best basketball players ever. James has been the recipient of four NBA Championships and 4 NBA MVP Awards and four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He also holds 2 Olympic gold medals. James is one of the NBA All-Stars with more playoff points. having the second-highest career point total, and seventh-highest career assist total. James is a member of 18 NBA All-Stars in addition to 18 All NBA Teams. He also has five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. He has competed in the ten NBA Finals the third most ever, including eight times in a row between 2011, and 2018. In 2021 James was named to be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 became the only basketball player in NBA history to score at least 10,000 career points rebounds and assists. James was a player at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron Ohio and was heavily touted by the national media as a potential NBA superstar. James was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the top selection of the NBA draft in 2003. He was named the NBA most promising rookie in the 2004. Then he was one of the top players in the NBA as he won the NBA MVP Award both during 2009 and 2010. After failing to win any championships with Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent in order to be a part of with the Miami Heat this was announced in the television special The Decision and is among the most controversial free agents that sports has ever seen.
